Shakira grew up on a farm in the Mallee before moving to Geelong after finishing high school to study at Deakin University.
She recently graduated in 2025 with a double degree in Criminology and Psychological Science, gaining a strong interest in people, communication and how things work behind the scenes.
She is currently a Risk and Compliance Officer at Coulter Legal, where she supports the Risk Manager to support the firm’s governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management initiatives.
With a previous role in marketing, Shakira has discovered a love for creativity, particularly designing content and experimenting in Canva, and she is excited to bring this creative energy into her role on the committee.
Outside of work, Shakira enjoys Pilates with the girls, tracking down a great iced latte and spending time with family and friends.
