Join the GYP team as a Committee Member

Governed by the Geelong Chamber of Commerce, the Geelong Young Professionals (GYP) network has been connecting and inspiring local professionals for over a decade. Run by a passionate volunteer committee, GYP delivers a calendar of professional development and networking events that bring together the next generation of Geelong’s leaders.

Our events attract up to 150 attendees and feature insightful speakers, interactive panels, and social gatherings that encourage connection, learning, and collaboration — all in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

We’re now seeking new committee members to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of GYP.

There are currently two exciting opportunities to join the committee:

Community Engagement Lead

Help strengthen GYP’s presence in the Geelong community. In this role, you’ll build meaningful relationships with local businesses, organisations, and individuals to enhance awareness, visibility, and community impact. You’ll represent GYP at local events, foster partnerships, and help position the network as an active contributor to Geelong’s professional landscape.

This role works closely with the Sponsorship Lead to grow GYP’s reach and community connections.

Creative & Digital Content Lead

Bring the GYP brand to life through engaging digital content and design. You’ll lead the creation of visual assets for social media, events, and campaigns, ensuring consistent and professional branding across all touchpoints. From digital invites and banners to event collateral and photography, your creativity will help shape how GYP connects with its audience.

You’ll collaborate with the Events and Marketing teams to deliver polished, impactful communications that reflect GYP’s energy and purpose.
