Lachlan grew up in Echuca as the oldest of five and there was never a dry moment to say the least within the household. He has always had a love for basketball and as a teen, if he wasn’t at home or school, the stadium was the only other place he’d be. Although his basketball playing days are now over thanks to his lack of height and knack for injuries, Lachlan still loves his basketball and it’s likely you’ll find him in front of the TV early on the weekends, cheering on his beloved Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA. Originally chasing the dream of becoming a lawyer, Lachlan made the last minute decision in Year 12 to switch paths and start his career as an accountant. Taking a slightly less traditional approach, he decided to step straight into his career, working part-time while he completed his Bachelor of Law and Accounting, which has seen him work for firms across regional Victoria. Having an odd love for cold, wet and windy weather, Lachlan made the move to Geelong in 2019 to further his career, joining the Moore Australia team in their local Geelong office and he has already declared himself a local despite his short tenure.

I relax by listening to the latest NBA podcasts or hitting the court and putting up a few shots.
I’m happiest when I’m helping someone, whether that be in business or personally, achieve their dreams.
When I was little I always wanted to play in the NBA but always being the shortest in my class changed that idea real quickly…
My big dream now is to continue to build on my knowledge and expertise as an accountant and then utilise those skills to help those in difficult positions.
My dream holiday destination is Amsterdam and not because of what you are thinking! I’ve always wanted to see the place my Dad’s side of the family grew up in.
Highlight of my career so far graduating from CQUniversity with a Bachelor of Laws and Accounting
