Born and raised in Geelong, Sean has always been an advocate for the City of Greater Geelong and everything that it has to offer. Working across a number of local organisations in his early career, Sean commenced work in the public service in 2017 and hasn’t looked back, being fortunate to combine his love for Geelong while working at both the Federal and State levels of Government. Currently, he is working as part of WorkSafe Victoria’s WorkWell Program, which is focused on preventing mental injury and building safe and mentally healthy workplaces.
Outside of work, Sean loves to take advantage of his hometown, visiting any number of his favourite cafés in the morning, heading to the beach with his adorable dog Duke (a Dalmatian in case you were wondering), or heading out to dinner with friends for good food and wine. And of course, getting to as many Geelong Cats games as possible.

The Q&A
I’m inspired by people who want to make a difference to the world they live in.
I relax by taking Duke (and myself) for a run or a good walk at the beach, and catching up with friends, glass of wine in hand.
I’m happiest when I’m with the people I love and we can just be ourselves.
When I was little I always wanted to be so many things! A doctor, a marine biologist, an actor and a dancer…the list goes on.
My big dream now is to have a rewarding career where my work is has a positive contribution to society and how we live.
My dream holiday destination is back to Ireland. It’s the family “motherland” and the best Guinness you’ll ever have.
Highlight of my career so far is knowing that my work is contributing to creating mentally healthier workplaces.
